Arsenal Football Club, based in Islington, London, was founded in 1886 by a group of workers from the Woolwich Arsenal Armament Factory. The club was initially named Dial Square, but it quickly changed to Royal Arsenal after their first match. In 1891, the club turned professional and became known as Woolwich Arsenal [^1^].
[^1^]: Arsenal History
During its early years, the team struggled both on and off the pitch due to financial difficulties and poor performance. However, in 1913 they moved from South-East London to Highbury in North London and dropped "Woolwich" from their name to become simply "Arsenal." This move marked a turning point for the club's fortunes.
In 1925 Herbert Chapman was appointed manager of Arsenal FC. Chapman revolutionized training methods and tactics employed at that time within British football clubs; he implemented new strategies such as WM formation which saw success on field [^2^]. Under his guidance team won its first major trophy - FA Cup - during year 1930 followed by First Division titles consecutively between seasons spanning from 1930-1938 making them force reckoned with within English soccer fraternity!
