Arsenal's Historic Win: 4-1 Victory Over Newcastle United Sets Premier League Records

Arsenal made Premier League history during their comfortable win over Newcastle United. The Gunners headed into the match five points off the leaders after Liverpool's win and Manchester City's victory earlier in the day. However, Mikel Arteta's men were in fine form as they raced to a 2-0 halftime lead with goals from Kai Havertz and an own goal by Sven Botman. In the second half, Arsenal remained dominant and added to their lead with a stunning solo goal from Bukayo Saka and a header from Jakub Kiwior, making it 4-0. During the match, Arsenal achieved a Premier League record by scoring 17 unanswered goals since their last conceded goal. This impressive run was eventually ended when Joe Willock scored for Newcastle, making it 4-1. Prior to the match, Arsenal had last conceded a Premier League goal in their 3-1 win over Liverpool in February. Since then, they have scored six goals against West Ham United, five against Burnley, and four against Newcastle. Additionally, Arsenal became the first team in Premier League history to score two goals in seven successive halves of football. Defensively, Arsenal has also been strong, keeping 10 clean sheets this season, the most of any team in the competition. With this win, Arsenal moved to within one point of Manchester City and two points behind leaders Liverpool. They will aim to continue their impressive goal-scoring form in their next match against Sheffield United.
