Premier League Injury Report: Liverpool and Chelsea Hit Hard, Wolves Escape Unscathed

A new report has confirmed which Premier League teams have been the most affected by injuries this season. According to the report by Premier Injuries, Liverpool tops the injury-list table with 10 injuries, closely followed by Chelsea with 9. Newcastle and Sheffield United have also been hit hard with 8 injuries each.

Liverpool, the reigning champions, have suffered an immense amount of injuries throughout the 2023-24 campaign. Their recent 4-1 win over Luton saw them without 10 of their first-team stars, including Mohamed Salah, Alisson, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Chelsea, managed by Mauricio Pochettino, have also faced significant injury setbacks. First-team players such as Reece James, Wesley Fofana, and Romeo Lavia have been sidelined for an extended period, contributing to their struggle to find form.

Other teams dealing with a considerable number of injuries include Crystal Palace with 7, and Arsenal, Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Brentford, Luton Town, and Manchester United with 6 each.

On the other end of the spectrum, Wolves have been relatively fortunate, with only one player, Matheus Cunha, missing from their available squad.

It is clear that injuries have had a significant impact on several Premier League teams this season. The high number of injuries experienced by Liverpool and Chelsea, in particular, has posed challenges for their respective managers. As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see how these teams adapt and overcome these setbacks.
