Manchester United squad expects manager sack after recent defeat, Chelsea considers replacements, Liverpool scouts potential manager, Arsenal signs young talent

The Manchester United squad reportedly expects the club's new co-owners, Ineos, to sack manager Erik ten Hag before the start of next season. This comes after their recent defeat to Manchester City, which was their 11th loss in the Premier League this season. The defeat, in which United had only three shots compared to City's 27, has raised concerns among fans. However, Ten Hag still has the support of the dressing room. Despite this, there is a belief among some players that a change may be needed in the summer.

According to the Daily Mail, there is discontent among certain players regarding the intensity of the training sessions and the manager's hard-line approach. Some players were unhappy about not being given an extra day off after a recent game against Luton, despite having no midweek fixture. It is believed that Ten Hag needs to freshen up the training sessions and take a more lenient approach to keep the players fit for the rest of the season.

In other news, Chelsea is considering Ruben Amorim and Roberto De Zerbi as potential replacements for manager Mauricio Pochettino. However, the club intends to wait until the summer before making any changes. Chelsea's recent 2-2 draw with Brentford has led to criticism from fans, and Pochettino has struggled to win over the supporters. While the club is taking a long-term view, they are assessing their options and looking at Amorim, who has impressed at Sporting, and De Zerbi, who could leave Brighton at the end of the season. De Zerbi is also on Liverpool's shortlist to replace Jürgen Klopp.

Liverpool, on the other hand, has sent scouts to assess Ruben Amorim in recent weeks. The club is considering him as a potential manager, along with Xabi Alonso. Amorim, who led Sporting to the Portuguese title in 2021, is highly regarded and has caught the attention of Bayern Munich as well. Liverpool is also considering signing defender Ousmane Diomande from Sporting.

Lastly, Arsenal is set to sign 16-year-old Brayden Clarke from Wolves. The young centre-back, who is the son of former Scotland international Nigel Quashie, has attracted interest from other Premier League clubs. Arsenal, known for their focus on developing young talent, are determined to continue this tradition even as they compete for major honors.
