Manchester United Manager Demands Apology for 'Pathetic' Treatment of Player

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has called for a Premier League club to apologize to one of his players over a 'pathetic' social media post. Ten Hag expressed concern about the treatment his players have been receiving on the pitch, particularly due to the high number of injuries in the team. He revealed that Bruno Fernandes, the 29-year-old midfielder, has been playing through an injury in recent games. Ten Hag criticized the media and social media for their criticism of Fernandes, describing it as 'pathetic.'

Ahead of Manchester United's match against Manchester City, Ten Hag further explained his 'pathetic' claim and demanded an apology from Fulham. The London club had posted a video on TikTok showing Fernandes appearing to be in pain after a challenge during Fulham's victory over United. The video was accompanied by a caption that sarcastically stated, 'so glad he's ok.' Ten Hag condemned Fulham's statement, calling it 'totally out of order and wrong.' He emphasized that opponents have been targeting Fernandes and that the referee should protect him from such fouls. Despite being seen limping after a recent game, Ten Hag expects Fernandes to be fit for the upcoming Manchester derby on Sunday.
