Liverpool to Face Sparta Prague in Europa League Last 16, Brighton Draws AS Roma

Liverpool, the current Premier League leaders, have been drawn against Sparta Prague in the last 16 of the Europa League. The first leg will take place in the Czech capital on March 7, with the return leg at Anfield a week later. Liverpool has a successful history in the competition, having won it three times in the past.

Brighton, who are participating in their maiden European campaign, will face AS Roma in the last 16. The English club topped Group B, which included Marseille, Ajax, and AEK Athens. Roma reached the last 16 with a penalty shoot-out victory over Feyenoord in the play-off. The Italian side is currently going through a transition period after sacking manager Jose Mourinho last month.

In other fixtures, Europa Conference League holders West Ham will face Freiburg from Germany, while Scottish Premiership team Rangers will take on two-time European champions Benfica from Portugal. Aston Villa, who finished as Group E winners, have been drawn against Dutch giants Ajax in the Europa Conference League last 16.

The Europa League final is scheduled to take place in Dublin on May 22, with the Conference League final happening in Athens a week later on May 29.

These matches will be played on March 7 and March 14, and the quarter-final and semi-final draws for both competitions will take place on March 15. The quarter-final first legs are scheduled for April 11, with the second legs taking place on April 18. The semi-final first legs will be played on May 2, followed by the second legs on May 9.
