Former Real Madrid Manager Declines Crystal Palace Offer, Looking for Fresh Challenge in Premier League

Former Real Madrid and Spain manager, Julen Lopetegui, has declined an offer to take over as the manager of Premier League side Crystal Palace. The club is reportedly preparing to replace their current boss, Roy Hodgson, following a string of poor performances. Hodgson is currently recovering in the hospital after falling ill during a training session. While Palace has not yet announced their plans, it is believed that Oliver Glasner, former coach of Eintracht Frankfurt, is being considered as Hodgson's replacement. However, Lopetegui has expressed his lack of interest in the role due to timing. Lopetegui, who wants to continue working in the Premier League, has been residing in the UK since leaving Wolves in the summer. He is looking for a fresh challenge for the 2024/25 season that will allow him to implement his desired changes on a new project.
