Fantasy Football Tips for Gameweek

This week, if you own Erling Haaland and still have your triple captain chip, it is recommended to use it for Manchester City's home games against Chelsea and Brentford. While City may have another double gameweek later in the season, there is no guarantee that Haaland will be fit or that the desire to start him in every game will remain in a tight title race. However, if you believe there are better candidates for the triple captaincy, such as Darwin Nunez for Liverpool's double gameweek against Brentford and Luton, it is important to note that Nunez would need to significantly outscore Haaland for it to pay off.

If you prefer not to follow the crowd, you can still captain Haaland this week and save the triple captain chip for another opportunity. One such opportunity arises in double gameweek 28 for Bournemouth, when Dominic Solanke has two home fixtures against Sheffield United and Luton. Keep in mind that many managers may also captain Solanke that week as an insurance policy.

When choosing your captain for this week, it is advisable to select a player with a double gameweek, preferably an attacker. Options include Kevin de Bruyne or Phil Foden for Manchester City, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, or Luis Diaz for Liverpool, and Ivan Toney for Brentford.

In terms of fixtures to target, the Manchester City defense is worth considering for their double gameweek against Chelsea and Brentford. Nathan Ake is a recommended choice, as he offers attacking threat from set-pieces and is even more valuable with Josko Gvardiol's injury. If you prefer not to go for a City defender, an Arsenal player, such as Gabriel, could be a good alternative due to their solid defense.

For those looking for differentials, Diogo Dalot and Harry Maguire from Manchester United are affordable options with low ownership. Manchester United's upcoming fixtures against Luton, Fulham, and Everton make them appealing choices. Additionally, if Manchester United gets knocked out of the FA Cup, they will have a home fixture against Sheffield United in gameweek 29.

As for the gamble of the week, Chris Sutton suggests using Darwin Nunez as your triple captain. However, it is important to consider the risks involved and make an informed decision.
