England coach to decide Lionesses captaincy based on player fitness and performance

The fitness of Arsenal defender Leah Williamson, who previously held the captaincy, is a factor in this decision. Wiegman also mentioned that Millie Bright, who served as vice captain and stepped up during the 2023 Women's World Cup, was not selected due to injury.
