Chelsea's Comeback Victory Puts Pressure on Palace Manager

Chelsea secured a comeback victory against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, increasing the pressure on Palace manager Roy Hodgson. Conor Gallagher scored his first two goals of the season in the Premier League, helping Chelsea secure the win.

In the first half, despite dominating possession and completing 420 passes, Chelsea struggled to break down Palace's defense and failed to have a shot on target. Palace took the lead in the 30th minute with a stunning strike from Jefferson Lerma.

However, Chelsea quickly equalized in the second half, with Gallagher scoring from a bouncing cross by Malo Gusto. The visitors continued to push for a winner and Gallagher delivered in stoppage time with a neat first-time finish. Enzo Fernandez added a composed finish to seal the victory for Chelsea.

This win comes after Chelsea's impressive FA Cup victory against Aston Villa and sets them up for crucial upcoming matches against Manchester City, Liverpool in the EFL Cup final, and Leeds in the FA Cup.

On the other hand, Crystal Palace's inconsistent form and recent defeat to rivals Brighton have put manager Roy Hodgson's future under scrutiny. Despite a solid defensive performance in the first half, Palace conceded early in the second half and failed to hold on to the lead. The late goals from Chelsea further intensified the questions surrounding Hodgson's future.

Conor Gallagher was named the player of the match, with an average rating of 7.89. Crystal Palace remains in 15th place in the Premier League table and will face Everton next, followed by a match against Burnley.
