Arsenal's Impressive Form Continues with Record-Breaking Victory

Arsenal continued their impressive form with a 5-0 victory over Burnley, breaking their own set-piece record in the process. This win comes on the back of their 6-0 thrashing of West Ham last week, bringing them within two points of Liverpool in the Premier League standings.

The Gunners took an early lead through Martin Odegaard and extended it with a penalty goal from Bukayo Saka, who scored his 15th goal of the season. Saka's goal also marked Arsenal's 24th set-piece goal of the season, surpassing their previous record of 23 set in the 2004/05 campaign.

In the second half, Saka added another goal to his tally, while Leandro Trossard and Kai Havertz also found the net to secure a comprehensive victory for Arsenal.

This win not only extends Arsenal's winning streak to five matches in a calendar year for the first time in their history, but it also boosts their goal difference, which is now five better than Manchester City's. A win for City in their upcoming match against Chelsea would see them level on points with Arsenal, but they would need to win by a margin of five goals or more to overtake them in the standings.

Arsenal's recent performances highlight their dominance in set-piece situations and their ability to convert them into goals. With their attacking prowess and solid defensive displays, they are proving to be a formidable force in the Premier League. As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see if they can maintain this level of performance and challenge for the top positions in the league.
