Adam Lallana praises Klopp's impact on Liverpool and expresses concern about his departure

Adam Lallana, former Liverpool midfielder and current Brighton player, has shared his thoughts on Jurgen Klopp's announcement that he will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. Lallana, who played under Klopp during his time at Liverpool, praised the transformative effect the German manager had on the club, leading them to win the Champions League and Premier League. Lallana believes that Klopp's departure will have a similar impact to when Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard left the club. He expressed concern about the club's ability to find a suitable replacement for Klopp.

Lallana also discussed the possibility of his current Brighton manager, Roberto De Zerbi, taking over as Klopp's successor. He acknowledged that De Zerbi is highly regarded and wouldn't be surprised if he joined Liverpool. Lallana admitted feeling uneasy when he first heard about Klopp's departure, comparing it to the day Gerrard announced he was leaving. He described both departures as significant moments for the club.

Despite his concerns, Lallana expressed his support for Klopp and believes that the manager's early announcement will give Liverpool the opportunity to prepare for his exit and potentially win more titles. He hopes that the team's success will extend beyond the Europa League.

De Zerbi, who has also been linked to Manchester United, has expressed his desire to return to coaching in Italy in the future, which may influence his decision on whether to take over at Liverpool or pursue other opportunities.
